Pecan Pie Bites
Pecan Pie Bites are a cute little version of the traditional pecan pie. They're great for gatherings, parties, or just as a sweet treat any time. They are simple to make and taste great with nuts.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package store-bought pie crust or homemade, if preferred
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, beaten egg, and salt
Mix until well combined
Roll out the pie crust and cut into small circles using a cookie cutter or glass
Place each circle of pie crust into a mini muffin tin, pressing gently to form a mini tart shell
Fill each tart shell with the pecan mixture, about 3/4 full
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set
Allow the pecan pie bites to cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
Serve and enjoy!
